The quality of motorcycle plastic parts is like people's clothes,especially the painting quality directly affects the first impression of the motorcycle. In this article let Honest Motor technical team tell you our quality control of painting parts.

We usually divide painting parts into A, B, and C sides:

A side (main view side): the side that people can see directly when standing.

B side (side view side): the side that needs to be looked down or up.

C side (effective side): the side that cannot be seen directly (covered by other parts).

1,Painting film hardness standard(A,B,C sides):

We use HB pencil to test the painting hardness,firstly exposing the lead by 3mm, secondly use 800 sandpaper to grind the bottom of the lead smooth,then we swipe quickly at a 45-degree angle with the force of writing,if there is no scratches on the painting,then we say the painting hardness is qualified.

2,Painting adhesion standard(A,B,C sides):

We use utility blades to check the painting adhesion,first we cut about 100 squares with a side length of 1-2MM at an angle of 30 degrees. Then we use tape to completely stick to the squares and tear it off quickly,if the painting does not fall off,then we say the paint is qualified.

3,Appearance checking standards(A,B,C sides):

We observe the saturation, glossiness and flatness of the painting parts at a distance of 50cm.

The sand marks (grinding marks), tiny pinholes, particles, lines, flow marks, dents (shrinkage holes in plastic parts), scratches, exposed unpainted sides,and not allowed to appear.

4,Stickers checking standards:

Firstly we must make sure there is no wrinkles, bubbles, warping, particles, etc.

Secondly about the sticker location,The position deviation of left and right sides must be less than 5mm, and the deviation of the same side must be less than 1mm.
